TEACHING

Teaching is sacred work. And, no doubt: it is work that is made more difficult in our current climate. But where others may resign themselves to living in a polarized world where we continue to isolate ourselves even more profoundly from one another, I see teaching essentially about breaking down walls. I see teaching essentially as the continued work of helping others better understand what is most beautiful to them, and to do the work of building the democratic institutions that support larger, wider, and deeper conversations about what those beautiful things are.

I have had the privilege of teaching at the following schools and within the following programs:

St. Norbert College

De Pere, WI

Xavier University of Louisiana

New Orleans, Louisiana

St. John’s University

Queens, NY

Boston College

Chestnut Hill, MA

Constellation Learning Institute

If I can help foster, in a community or classroom setting, dialogue across difference concerning the beautiful things in the world we hold dear, let’s talk.
